About
Cowgirl Impressionism was started through my love of horses and my career as an artist. I grew up desiring to be a horse trainer, but my love of everything artsy eventually drew me toward an education and career in Fine Art.
Although I aspire to be an accomplished painter in the fine arts, I felt that there was a lack of true art and inspiration in the equestrian apparel community. I began drawing and painting my own freehand designs, and I feel that my products offer an original quality and impressionist style that can't be found elsewhere.
Along with creating fun and original apparel designs, I am also a full time painter and leather artist. You can check out some of my original artistic works in my fine art shop at Melissa Hughes Art, including affordable custom painting and drawing options. In my leather shop, The Lazy H, you can find fully customized products from wallets to headstalls, and everything is hand carved and stamped.
